OVERVIEW:


An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Learning and Development team.

We would like to welcome a person with experience in Care who has the passion and drive to develop and train their peers.  Full training will be given, so a teaching qualification is not obligatory at this stage.

The key role of this position is to support the organisation in the implementation and application of CQC quality standards in all training, education and development activities. To monitor and evaluate the quality of learning activities and to make recommendations for improvements. This will be to a standard which is competitive and ensures that Cornwall Care achieves and maintains an excellent reputation for the provision of excellent care services.

This is a full-time position; with the expectation, you will be home-based but be mobile across Cornwall Care services as and when required.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:


To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:


Experience: 
Previous experience in clinical and/or dementia care and /or Learning disabilities and/or mental health care combined with a natural flare for helping others to learn, either on a one to one basis or in groups.


Skills:
 Actively identify, assess, report and contribute to the management of risk and safeguarding. Compile and submit training reports or data within timelines as requested and using required systems.


Characteristics: 
You should be self-sufficient and self-motivated. You should be an excellent listener.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


As a member of the Learning and Development team at Cornwall Care you will join a highly skilled team in providing the highest level of training.

Develop and maintain effective and proactive working relationships with external practice and education providers that will enhance the development and delivery of Cornwall Care’s curriculum.

Working with the Head of People Resourcing and Development identify the key learning required for the L&D curriculum through twice yearly LNAs and deliver or commission externally as appropriate.

Ensure programmes of training are relevant, updated as required, and ensure they are electronically available.
