11 April 2022

PureGym Group is the second largest fitness chain in Europe, operating over 500 sites in the UK, Switzerland, Denmark, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States. PureGym Group is comprised of our PureGym Swiss business, the largest low-cost operator in Switzerland, Fitness World, the leading gym operator in Denmark, and PureGym, the leading operator in the UK.

As Switzerland plans to rapidly scale in size, disrupting the market, and through a £300m equity injection secured end of 2021, they are ideally positioned to realize these ambitious goals. In this way, they can make an even greater and more important contribution to the fitness and health of the Swiss population in the future. Due to such growth, PGG are currently looking to hire a Commercial Analyst to be based in London, supporting the Swiss offices.

The Commercial Analyst will support all aspects of the department, with the following key areas of responsibility:

  • Conduct member and club performance analysis to support commercial decision-making including: pricing, product changes, capacity management and investment in the physical club estate
  • Support preparation of regular commercial reporting
  • Closely monitor competitor activity (openings, closures, pricing) to inform our commercial actions
  • Collate and analyse member feedback data and reviews on a weekly basis, feeding insights into operational and commercial decision-making processes
  • Support ad hoc research into member behaviour and market trends
  • Provide broader analytical support to other functions (for example new site openings) as and where required
  • Support preparation of written documents for various internal meetings and decision-making forums.

We are looking for an ambitious individual with a passion for problem-solving and using data to drive actionable outcomes. The following core attributes are essential:

  • Excellent problem-solving: someone who can apply their mind to many and varied business problems and make a substantial personal contribution to solving them.
  • Innovative and curious: constantly seek to learn and find new and better ways of doing things.
  • Self-starting, industrious, ‘hands-on’: will take the initiative and get things done under their own steam.
  • Willing to learn new skills and techniques: we are not looking for the ‘finished article’ but you must have a hunger to learn and develop!

For this role we require the following experience or qualifications:

  • Professional working experience in an analytical role, preferable in a consumer facing business but not essential
