PURPOSE
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Lead, the Accounts Payable Technician is responsible for processing of accounts payable transactions and vendor payments in an effective and efficient manner to ensure that payables are accurate and up to date, and that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Match supplier invoices to purchase orders and receiving reports.
* Code and enter supplier invoices in the accounting system.
* Validate and process expense reports ensuring company policies are observed.
* Ensure appropriate approval levels are obtained.
* Process and transmit checks runs and wire transfer payments.
* Verify and reconcile supplier statements.
* Handle the period end closing process.
* Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as defined by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
* College degree in Accounting or any other relevant field of study combined with at least 2 years of experience in accounts payable.
* Autonomous, methodical, and team-oriented.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to meet all internal timelines.
* Excellent sense of customer service.
* Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good capacity of analysis, synthesis, and problem solving.
* Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
* Knowledge of the ERP Epicor, an asset.
* Bilingualism (French and English).
